ZhenSheng is more of a friend to me than any of the kids there, I guess. Ms Yong even said that he's being able to open up more ever since I worked there. Thus, making me work a few more days.
The first time I met noticed him was when I was reading this funny story to the small kids and I saw him hanging around doing nothing. So I just asked him if he wanted to join us. Yeah, though he was a lot older than the nursery kids, he came and sit with us. Ever since then, he would come to me asking questions, talk about any random topic or just hang around.
A few weeks sharing the same table made me pick up on the peeps' habits. Kezia will tend to cry when she does the same question over and over again and still gets the wrong answer. Stasia likes to daydream while doing her worksheets. HanYang is the temperamental one; he's always sitting on my lap while doing corrections or while I'm reading a book aloud. ZhenSheng likes to spin his pen whenever he thinks. Haha. I guess I mistaken G's newly-mastered pen trick with his when he showed the same trick to me on Tuesday. My bad.
Like every other time before the kids leave, Kezia and HanYang will give me a peck on a cheek. Stasia would tell me that she'll try not to daydream next time, but still does it anyway. ZhenSheng would say, 'I'll see you on ____ same time okay?'
Haha. And just like every other time, I would smile at Kezia and HanYang and say goodbye. I would tell Stasia, 'Make sure you don't daydream okay?' I would just smile and nod at ZhenSheng.
Although kids like Kezia and HanYang made me realise what I couldn't have...
Although the pay was so-so...
Although the job requires a lot of patience...
I'd have to say that all of them really made my day.
